@ctvnews: Montreal police (SPVM) say one officer is dead and another is in critical condition following reports of a shooting in the Côte-des-Neiges neighbourhood. Shortly before 1:45 p.m., the SPVM confirmed that one of the officers was killed. A civilian also died in the altercation, and the suspect was killed. Officers were called to the scene at11:35 a.m. at the corner of Courtrai and Trans Island avenues, and an emergency alert urging people to shelter-in-place was issued. Anyone within the borders of Côte-des-Neiges Road, MacDonald Street, Highway 40 and Queen Mary is being asked to shelter in place. Others are asked to avoid the area. #newsstories #canada #quebec
