Please educate Sonny - it’s been a while since she graduated from law school. A jury of your peers means a jury made up of ordinary members of the community, not judges, lawyers or government officials. It does not mean the jurors must be exactly like the defendant in race, age, background, income, religion or life experience. It means the jury should be chosen from a fair cross-section of the community and should be able to judge the case fairly and impartially.
