It’s also more seen in bipolar 2. One of the things that helped me to get diagnosed as bipolar 2 was my depression lasts longer then my hypomania. So there’s often times I’d have an excellent productive week and then three or four weeks of lows. Mediation has helped tremendously though.

i haven’t been diagnosed cause my therapist wants to make sure the timing of the “episodes” are actually bipolar, but can hypomania feel like just having energy? idk if i’m doing more, i think of doing more but not do things all the time if that makes sense

I got diagnosed with adhd, depression and social anxiety 😭 after 10 years I got diagnosed with bipolar so all the symptoms before was that not depression, anxiety or adhd

When im hypomanic I can get different "special interests" that I spend several hours a day thinking about/doing research etc. If i'm lucky I also feel confident and good, but most of the times I get stuck with an inner stress and irritability and can't relax/sleep..

I literally applied to 4 different grad schools and wrote all these essays in 5 days because I was hypomanic. Turned out to be helpful on this instance.

When I was diagnosed originally I was diagnosed with borderline bipolar (borderline personality and bipolar) recently got diagnosed with bipolar 2 rapid cycling

They’ve asked me to fill in mood diaries, the thing is when I’m in it and other times I find it hard to recognise how I am feeling and I have times of thinking I’m fine and doing well I don’t need this anymore, not to sure what to do it’s a vicious circle

i can't count the times i was like "whoooo i am cured of depression and anxiety!" just to be back some weeks later. after some years you may start to see a pattern and that "normal" people dont act like that.😅

My 13-year-old daughter was recently diagnosed with Bipolar II disorder. She has just started trying different medications to determine which one works best for her. With the right medication, can people with Bipolar II remain stable for long periods, or are relapses still common?

My psychiatrist put me on a SSRI without a mood stabilizer. I was hypomanic for years. I started a company grew it and was never more successful. Unfortunately, it also came with the lowest Lows I’ve ever felt.
