🔥CERVICAL RADICULOPATHY🔥 You probably know it more as a “pinched nerve” in your neck that can also cause pain, numbness, weakness, and tingling in your arms and hands. However, not everyone will have the same severity of symptoms (one person can have severe muscle weakness and atrophy but have only mild pain; another can severe neck pain but only have minor tingling or muscle weakness). Also, the distribution of pain and sensory changes don’t always follow the same referral pattern. Sometimes you can have pain, neurological, and sensory changes in your shoulder blade area as well. These exercises can provide relief: - Start with isometric exercises in cervical flexion and extension. Isometric exercises are exercises where you contract the muscles without any movement from the surrounding joints. Try doing 3 sets of 5 reps with 3-5 sec holds for each rep. Do that daily. -Add more strengthening exercises for cervical flexion and extension like chin tucks. Do 3 sets of 8 reps. -Don’t forget to mobilize your thoracic spine as well! On here I demonstrated seated thoracic rotations and seated cat/cow. Do 3 sets of 8 reps. Try these out and let me know what you think! ⚠️DISCLAIMER: this is for educational purposes only. Please get a proper assessment from a healthcare professional if you are experiencing any pain. Have you ever had a pinched nerve before?
