Tips from a fellow closeted witch: use regular bottled water for moon water and drink it the next day with your intentions, speak your intentions and desires into your water or drinks before drinking, get a piggy bank to collect spare change and add bay leaves/petitions with manifestations for abundance, carve intentions/sigils into the candles before burning and allow the entire surface of wax to melt before extinguishing, most of the basic herbs you need can be found in a kitchen cabinet so keep baggies in a secure space if that’s an option, on apple devices you can lock certain notes to make them password protected and even delete the app from the Home Screen but it still pops up when you search for it, get a plant!!! use it as your connection to nature and talk to the plant. And remember this phase is temporary and you will soon have your own place to be completely yourself💕💕💕

i always say "live by their rules, our way". herbs for protection/love in your fire for an offering of meat, nope its bbq herbs to spice the fire for the meat. colored spell candles, nope, they are just pretty colors and i like all of them. scented candles/incense/wax melts/oils same thing, they just smell nice. learning the meanings of herbs, you are learning herbology for cooking/baking. same for food, nutrition study. i stay on the level they understand and keep the rest to myself, look for the closest "normal/muggle" version of what you are doing/learning to explain, and keep it superficial/basic. learning about witchy history, is just history or a history project for extra credit. sigils -> noridc language -> marvel loki/thor rabbithole, you can sew them in your clothes in the same color, or if you have more "understanding space" bleach dye, weird symbols nope just art. or loki/thor from marvel is cool, this is their language, i think its cool. scents/herbs can always be found in parfum/body lotion/body wash/shampoo/conditioner. color meaning, you are learning color theory for art class or because you want to understand it better for your own clothes/style, wear the color. hope that helps 🥰

I was closeted and I spent most of my time watching videos about witchcraft (and then deleting search history) , I did use candles, however it did get to a point where my mental health was genuinely going downhill from living with family (they're islamic) so... idk if i really count the spells during that time cuz I didnt feel safe and I was very drained. Luckily I got to a point where at 19 I was able to move out and im finally safe now. I live in temporary housing tho so I unfortunately cannot light candles and incense here. I've been trying to find ways to practise without using candles and incense, so I got led candles. I also have my tarot deck which I secretly bought while living with parents.

Shoot …birthday candles are fantastic for a more hidden practice., I have said many times to questions …I buy them often to have many options and I always grab a few packs because I host birthday parties!! In case this works for anyone! 😂 (Laughing but I swear) I still to this day use bday candles often ! For quick spell work ! Best of luck and I’m sorry to all you who have to hid * I have been there . I was doing witchcraft when I was very little ( ofc I had no clue what it was called or in depth) and I was always in trouble when I was a kid because they thought I was evil then and still think I am !! I hope you all can one day love your practice loudly if you choose!! Blessed be 🖤🤍
