bc it's not about the kids, it's about impressing other parents. pick a fun place and have cake. that's all you need. I stopped with favors years ago when I realized that every favor my kid brings home ends up in the trash 2 days later, unless it's bubbles or candy. it's so wasteful

social media has created this pressure on parents now by creating an artificial reality of parenting and expectations as well bc influence. Everyone posting photos for likes making their lives seem perfect. No that isn't real. It don't take much to have a good time kids enjoy simple things just got to be creative. It doesn't have to be done big huge event for kids to have a good time. Many parents near me have parties free at the parks nearby. Shoot one place at the lake people have parties there and kids can swim have good time during summer. It don't got to be some crazy expensive party if the parent cannot afford that. Keep it simple. This social media fakeness is causing all this mess. every parent does what they feel is best.

We had our daughters 1st and 2nd birthday party in our garage. Sheet cake, party pizza and had a blast 🤷🏻♀️a venue and all that isn’t necessary. If people love you and your kid they don’t care where they’re going

We skip the birthday party and let the kids just pick a fun trip or experience. We always give them a choice though if they want a party. Don’t get yourself too stressed out ❤️
