I honestly think that’s an extremely high estimate. To fix that hole including patching, skimming and any tiling to replace any broken ones would be a lot less. Get 4/5 quotes because I think you could get that for less than half that figure.

I’m surprised the insurance doesn’t cover it, I used to work in claims and the repair of the pipe was never covered but the damage caused by the leak was always covered, unless it was down to a deliberate act or negligence.

sorry 8000 to fix that hole 😳 all you need is some insulation, some plasterboard, screws, scrim tape, a bag of multi finish and some white paint that shouldnt be too much. under 1000 for the materials and I'm sure @muddlethroughdaddy could fix it ✌
