Water that feels only “a little hot” to adults may already be uncomfortable for a baby’s delicate skin. If the water is too warm, babies may become red, fussy, or start crying. Before every bath, check the water with a bath thermometer, or test it with your wrist or elbow. Warm is enough. Hot is not safer.
