This was just so baffling and honestly a complete slap in the face to Acosta character. Why on earth would they have a character who’s suppose to be good at finding things, they put her in charge of finding useful things in the junk, and then they Elgin find the useful thing. It makes no sense.

I found so many nonsensical things in those episode that made me feel like they were forcing the plot forward. Starting with Clara— they clearly just added her as a mole this season that’s why there’s no foreshadowing like there has been for other characters. All the plot holes infuriated me

ok, but how was elgin supposed to know that sophia is evil? like yall love to pretend that everyone has the same meta knowledge the audience has, elgin genuinely had no reason to think sophia is evil, for all he knew it could've been a trick that fromville put there or just someone who looked like her, it's not like the picture was in hd. he also JUST found the picture and she was standing right there, ofc he was gonna show her and be like "what could this mean?" and there were other people around, he had no way of knowing clara was in on it too. he was looking for clues about the miy, they have no idea he can shapeshift and no reason to suspect anyone in the town

Elgin is the quintessential person in a horror movie that does the thing that we as an audience knows is the stupidest thing to ever be done. I chalk it up to her not “looking evil” which is why I think the entity chooses that form all the time.

😅 There was so much promise and hope for Elgin when he first came into town, it seemed like he had insight and a different understanding of what was going on in Fromville. The writers lead us on to believe that he might actually be the key to leaving Fromville

No, right because why is everybody just disclosing information to a person that just got there and who is basically a teenager or a very young adult who’s not contributing to any of the tasks. That’s my only downfall in this season, too much of it’s just being overlooked and not questioned by the people who have been here for years.

Elgin was foolish, but I kind of understand why. I think the reason why he didn't think much of it at the time was because sophia was already in the same location as him(the diner), so he didn't have enough time to think and thought that showing her the picture wouldn't be that big of a deal. If she wasn't there (in the diner), he probably would have had more time to reason/think. I don't know if I'm making sense 🤧😪
