it's not just that, it his entire energy and enthusiasm for being Spider-Man. It's the quips. It's the joy of Webling. It's everything that makes Spider-Man fun. Tom is void of fun when it comes to Spider-Man. The worst part is, fun is supposed to be the core aspect to Spider-Man as a hero. The core theme to his character is when life challenges you and life beats you down to make things not be fun for you. By taking the fun out of Spider-Man, you are missing the entire point of his character. You're not making Spider-Man anymore you're making a prep student in a super suit. Responsibility isn't fun and that's the entire dynamic to his character. His entire arc as a character is to constantly struggle with that balance. JJ doesnt see his responsible side, Jameson only sees the side of Peter that wants to have fun, which is what makes him such an easy target for Jamison as opposed to other heroes in masks like daredevil.
