@horses.rescue.she: Autumn was sold into the direct ship pen in May of this year. The first thing we noticed was how incredibly sweet she was. The second thing we noticed was that she looked very pregnant. She hadn’t started bagging up yet, but it was clear she was carrying a foal. We knew we couldn’t leave her behind, so we added her to our ‘safe list’ and got her out of there — all thanks to this incredible ASIAB community. One month ago, Autumn welcomed a beautiful baby girl into the world. We named her Fall. Watching this little family unit is a reminder that sometimes when we save one horse, we’re saving more than we realize. Fall will never know the fear of an auction, the uncertainty of a direct ship pen, or how close she came to never getting this chance at life. Because of your support, Autumn was given the opportunity to become a mom in safety, and Fall was given the opportunity to simply exist. Today, both mom and baby are healthy, happy, and thriving.
