My 19 yr old has endometriosis. No one would test her. Finally, she told one that she had a family history, her nana had it. They tested her and confirmed the diagnosis. Kiddo didn’t lie - her nana, my STEPmom, did indeed have it.

I’m a nurse and I tell my friends to tell their doctors that their nurse friend keeps bugging them to get tested for X but they definitely don’t even have it and me bugging them is soooo annoying.

no joke this works better than having all the facts. i have been treated better by acting dumb, than i did when i went in with all my labs and tests already done and having all my ducks in a row so the diagnosis would be easier

I have an AMAZING doctor. I walked in like 4 times and was like "I think I have this weird super uncommon thing. test me for it" AND SHE DID. AND I HAD THEM. After the second diagnosis she was like HOW ARE YOU DOING THIS🤣 I'm about to go in for round number 5. I cant wait lol

Bro I went to my dr and asked for a beta blocker for anxiety, she said no that’s not good for anxiety. I went back 3 months later in agony and she said “have you ever heard of a beta blocker” 😒 I literally said “BeTa BLockEr… wHaT is ThAT???

no joke I always list my symptoms and then follow with, "personally I think its just stress or whatever" and then push and pull w them a bit when they try to refute it until i have to "concede" and get the tests done - has never not worked

this actually works this is how I always talk to medical professionals but I don't call it gaslighting I call it not hurting their big egos when making suggestions and glazing or NHBEWMSAG (you have to pronounce it aloud)
