I know they say that deltarune isnt a prequel or sequel to undertale but what if…. The monsters were above ground ( deltarune being first) and then they were all put underground because of kris. Hence why the monsters dont trust humans as well? The dark fountains breaking the world creating the underground. (Dont go harassing in the comments this is just a theory I have)

Okay but there’s also the photograph in sans workshop that has 3 friends and the words “don’t forget” on it. There’s also the “it’s raining somewhere else” in undertale followed up by “the place where it rained” in chapter 4
