I can’t imagine only twice a week! After 18 years together it’s down to twice daily. Before we get out of bed in the morning and immediately after our toddler goes to sleep.

Things change as time goes on and you'll go through phases too. Don't make rules and put pressure on yourselves. Making time for each other emotionally is more important over time. ( Been with my DH 30+years)

As someone who is asexual and whose partner is accepting of that, this statement doesn’t work for everyone ❤️

The healthiest relationship is the relationship that matches each other, whether it’s twice a week, twice a day or less. It’s so surprising and weird how society has normalized not liking your partner.

we are very touchy feely all the time and sometimes don’t make it all the way there but the intimacy and closeness is what matters

Healthy is whatever you and your partner feel comfortable with… no need to try and put a schedule on it. Plus it should happen spontaneously not on a timer. There are plenty of reasons to not do it that don’t mean you don’t love your spouse

I’m convinced people just hate their spouse or Significant others… the amount of “yall have time for that?” In the comments. No but we make time….

the healthiest relationship is having your own schedule that works, not forcing each other into a box.

I don't think the word "healthy" is appropriate or useful in an area that is highly subjective and personal.

i feel like adding a “schedule” to intimacy can quickly lead to resentment and anxiety around not fulfilling “duties”

also, hear me out, you don’t need to justify the reason your not having intercourse or even have a reason. just because you are married or in a long-term partnership doesn’t mean you have to have sex on any kind of regular basis or schedule. you and your partner can decide what works for you, and there is nothing wrong with going hours, days, or weeks without or with it.

We try not to go over 2-3 days without it. We both get a little cranky by day 3 and then go ahhh that’s why 😅 intimacy is so important in marriages

I get cranky if I don’t have it every other day. It kills me cause he works long hours and he’s the one denying me. It sucks out here
