✨Attraction and consent for some random you’re not attracted to touch you should not be made into a DEI situation. So what. To avoid hurting feelings, you allow everyone to touch you? For women, the rule is: if you feel uncomfortable, or that you might be in danger - no explanation is required. Get out of that situation. Don’t be the “nice girl” who doesn’t want to hurt people’s feelings. I applaud her.
✨People are allowed to have their preferences. Some black men only date white women. Some black women only date white men. Some men only like blondes or brunettes. Alannah is allowed to consent to touch only to the men she is attracted to and feels comfortable with.
✨Like Shane Gillis said, racism is like being hungry. Sure you’re not hungry right now…but if a cheeseburger cut you off in traffic - you’ll be hungry all day.” Pew pew to your mom’s head, have you ever expressed racist sentiments towards another race? Thought so. We, or most, have been both the sender and receiver. It’s really not that deep. People are just addicted to being outraged. Others love virtue signaling.
✨You’re allowed to make a face of disgust if someone you DON’T like shoves their tongue in your mouth. Did you want her to bust into a split or what.
✨We don’t know her or her story. I theory I have might be that she experienced something traumatic with someone of that demographic. You can’t dictate someone’s trauma response. Again, just a theory.
✨and sure it’s love island, “you have to kiss everyone.” Belle-a in season 7 made it explicitly clear she wasn’t hooking up with anyone, she established a boundary.
✨Alannah not wanting to kiss someone she is NOT attracted to is completely valid as well. Like any enterprise, the work is never done, especially with someonthing that is so engulfed in pop culture. Positive changes can be made, like not requiring someone to kiss everyone.
