Real talk I think this is my biggest flex as a GAY man. My partner and I (7years) never worried about this type of issues. 50/50 is not a problem with me at all, I know straight couples are different, but even then I always ask myself Why? My brothers are both providers and pay all bills and hold down their homes while their wife’s work, but I never understood that, if they are working as well why not want to 50/50 it makes things a lot more simple. God forbid there’s a divorce in the future best believe they’re not going to walk away empty handed, even tho EVERYTHING has been paid for by the man. I believe in women empowerment, just because he can doesn’t mean he should. I always tell my sisters the same thing, NEVER allow a man to fully fund your life, because one way or another he’s going to seek compensation. You can provide without it having to be financially, love, support and affection is providing as well. These days unless a man is paying for everything, he’s made out to be less than. 🤨
