I’d say that Antony’s whole speech is an enthymeme, because he’s not allowed to praise Caesar, particularly after Brutus denounced Caesar. So he recounts the deeds of Caesar, and asks the people to see if they agree with Brutus’ characterization of Caesar and his deeds, while repeating throughout “But Brutus is an honorable man.” The enthymeme, then is “Was Brutus’ speech just now accurate and worthy of your trust?” It’s a powerful rhetorical shortcut to sidestep praising Caesar and start to turn the crowd against the assassins by leaving his worst accusations unsaid, and indeed, contradicting them, while leading the audience down the garden path to the speech he really wants to give. Does it count as less deceptive if the rhetoric is that obvious in its intention?
