I think the wildest thing here is the fact that it was the Korean Starbucks marketing team that thought it was ok. Like the American Starbucks marketing had nothing to do with this.

reminds me when the central US manager of the company I work for fell for an internal phishing test so we ALL had to take a 3 day long internet security training course now we get 3 fake spam emails a month to make sure we arent just handing out company data.
