Facebook actually has a setting that uploads photos you never posted so its AI can scan them. Instagram doesn’t, at least not yet. The catch is the access itself. Instagram might already have the keys to your whole photo library. In the UK we just passed a law that allows all apps to scan for info to make sure underage pictures that are not appropriate to be posted. Our government just handed the apps free fall
