@themoviemagick: C.S. Lewis warned that modernity was starting to over-rely on science to explain our world, which would lead to a culture of meaninglessness and nihilism. As Lewis argued that science cannot explain the world, it can only observe it. He believed science played an important role in allowing us to understand the practicality of the world, but if we wanted to understand it we needed to balance science with philosophy, theology and the creative arts. Isaac Newton argued the same thing himself, saying that if science started to seperate itself from theology, it would lose its ability to understand what it was observing. #cslewis
