I've done this for years. Rub conditioner on my dry long hair before I get in the shower... Then only wash my scalp and re condition with hair mask. Works amazingly well! Thanks for confirming I was right!

circa 2010 I was a middle schooler with crazy flyaways from cap highlights. thought I could fix it by conditioning before to protect the weak hair. Best idea i ever had. Won best hair in highschool. i’m 28 now & still wash my hair like this!! thank you for sharing

just untill I stopped using conditioner IN TOTAL, my hair is now THRIVING. dont make them fool you✨ shampoo and hair spritz are the answer!!!! long live the lush silk milk hair spray after washing just with shampoo. AND LISTEN TO ME. IT WILL SMELL DIVINE FOR DAYS🔥 I REST MY CASE HERE.

I do one better - dampen my hair, put a hair mask (I use Revlon), let it soak in a bun for 30-45min, wash my hair and shampoo twice with conditioner at the end. the best that works for me.
