the "why dont he want me" part was unscripted. Will's dad actually walked out on him and he got real emotions. James Avery gave a real response when he pulled him in: "now that's acting"

Gets me every time. Even though I had a present dad. My daughter don’t get that. But what she does have an does see is a present grandpa who is there for her. An will do anything for her. An show her how he treats both of us how she can count on him an he loves her unconditionally every day and picks her every day
