The people saying “just report it” don’t understand how genuinely difficult it is to get support or people to believe you to do this. It may seem like common sense to you but it’s not that simple. These cases may not have solid evidence which is why they’re so hard to build and victims knowing this will not end up reporting it esp bcs they know even if they do have the proper evidence, it still won’t get taken seriously as we’ve seen again and again on how these authorities fail to bring them proper justice. They reported it to the school bcs that’s where it started and even if she didn’t have the proper evidence, the school should’ve still taken action against it and the school is to blame for not believing her. Them showing this behaviour is nothing but proving the survivors’ point of being too scared to report it to actual authorities bcs if the place that is supposed to make you feel safe doesn’t, what makes them believe that other strangers will. And I’m so sorry to the original poster I hope you recover well 🫶🏻

This story is a massive part of my life and who I am, but it's not all that I am. I lead a really happy life as a victim advocate, writing laws for survivors so the systems can't fail them in the same way they failed me. I share this story to debunk myths, and because I've been alerted to a pattern of this retaliation spanning over a decade at this school. I want kids to be safe, respected, and protected.

Reported this one guy to the school because he was following me around to my classes just to grab my boobs or butt. Literally walked in there for the first time and the assistant principal told me to “stop coming in to report him, we are already aware”. I froze and told her it was my very first time up there and she just said oh then sent me back to class. He never stopped so I just started skipping those classes and hiding in the bathrooms. I still did my work on my computer but wasn’t physically in class. I got in trouble for skipping but he never got in trouble for being the reason.
