I agree soaking beans is a waste of time but you really should rinse them and check them for rocks and broken beans before cooking them

I always toss the first round of water weather soaking or boiling. I call that the fart water. 2nd boil is for flavoring and broth and stuff

My bean guy at the farmers market said that the garlic and onion help neutralize the enzyme that makes beans cause digestive issues! Except chickpeas, those need to be soaked

I never soak my dry beans and cook them in an instant pot for like 15 minutes on high and let them vent on their own. Before cooking add a teaspoon of baking soda to the water to reduce bean a** gas!! 🤣🤣 I used to never cook dry beans till I learned this method it’s so easy.

I only cooked dried beans once and it didn’t go well (I swear I cooked forever and they were still too firm) I should try again. Adding all of this stuff sounds yummy.

I cook old, not fresh beans all the time 🤷♀️They will cook. Use a pressure cooker for an hour.

Yeah I never soak my beans 😆. I just sort and rinse them and then cook them in my instant pot. We eat enough beans that my gut has absolutely no issues with them being unsoaked.
