I bought my car from Shottenkirk Toyota in Weatherford and it was the worst experience ive ever had buying a car, they hid a $4995 extended warranty and tried adding a $1795 dealer add-on that was non-negotiable, I found your page after, I wish I found you sooner

Went to buy a truck, called the dealer. Asked dealer are you honoring this deal, do you have this model, is it this color and trim. Deal says they have the truck, in the color and trim, with the deal I’m looking for. Great. Get to the dealership, spoke to the same salesman I was on the phone with, and he then tells me they dont have the trim or color I am looking for but I could look at other trucks. Immediately turned around and walked out. They will never receive my business. That is the absolute worst tactic to use on a customer.

All I heard was: "If given the opportunity my dealership will take advantage of you, and think it's your fault for not knowing better." Not the brand representation I would choose, but I think we should be able to buy direct.

What’s crazy is to bash dealers for making profit yet you charge people $1,000 to negotiate a deal for them. You’re in it to make profit just like any other business. The part that’s not fair is you expect dealer to sell a vehicle at invoice or under or a tiny percentage above invoice. I also agree that dealers price gouging isn’t right but if people wanna buy from the manufacturer just pay manufacturers suggested retail price (MSRP) at the dealer. What most don’t realize is most of the time they pay less buying from the dealer than they would from the manufacturer and don’t think buying direct from manufacturer means you don’t pay any fees
