Yes, it’s a public place, but there should also be common sense. If the police are asking people to move back for safety reasons during an active situation, the right thing to do is cooperate. Keeping a safe distance helps protect everyone and allows officers to do their job effectively.

I see absolutely nothing wrong with that he said. He was calm and respectful. He is trying to conduct his job while keeping himself and the public safe. How about instead of trying to find a clip to put on social media you respect his request and just move away.
