Anyone watching this he is showing an important message for you to insist a biopsy be done. I have no problem asking for anything suspicious to be biopsied or burned off. I’ve had two BCC caught early enough that one was burned then mohs one pass on another. I hope you have new dermatologist that are more proactive than what was done in the past. Wishing you a speedy recovery.

WOW! God bless you! Being told by a dermatologist for years that it was precancerous without a biopsy? I can’t even imagine. Had it been treated properly initially this probably could have been avoided. I had BCC a bit higher up on my nose, just a pencil tip area that would weep and not heal. Biopsied and had a MOHS. 3 or 4 passes, the end result was similar to yours about the size of a thumbnail down to the cartilage. Took 4 plastic surgeries to reconstruct to my liking. Can’t see it now. You have a great attitude, it will be fine in the end, but it takes a while to get there. Stay strong.
