@consciouslycultivate: Turns out pressurizing rainwater for the garden is easier than you think. Our off-grid watering system works using two 275 gallon rain tote, two 50 gallon rain barrels, a 12V diaphragm pump, 12V battery, a simple manual water timer, and a solar panel. 👉 How it works: Rainwater flows into our IBC totes from the roof. The water then goes into the pump. When the water timer is turned on, the diaphragm pump senses the drop in pressure and kicks in — pulling water from the tote and pressurizing the garden hose. Once the hose is fully pressurized, the pump shuts off automatically until water is needed again. It’s a self-regulating system that saves water, energy, and money. ✅ No tap water used (free water) ✅ Better for plants (instead of municipal water) ✅ Great for off-grid gardens and rainwater harvesting systems 🔧 System components: - Two 275-gallon IBC totes - Two 50-gallon rain barrels - Net filter for debris - 12V Seaflo diaphragm pump - 12V battery - Water timer - Garden hose + connectors - Solar panel 💬 Have questions? Drop them in the comments — happy to share more details on our DIY setup. #rainwater #gardenirrigation #wateringsystem #rainbarrel #homestead
