Be careful with your power redundancy policy, I found out the hard way that I had set it up incorrectly and when I lost one source iDRAC would trigger a “controlled” shutdown of ESXi (which in turn would NOT gracefully shutdown its VMs).

wow! so jealous! Jake, I just have my Tesla power walls and solar but if for some reason my power surges and the grid bounces off and bounces right back my whole house will reset even though it's not supposed to and then my server rack all restarts and then my internet's down until everything's rebooted. I need to get me one of those

I wish I had somewhere to put a rack. I just have a closet which is far too small. So I’m stuck with standalone stuff like UPS

So i was gona invest in a nice rack ups for my system, but then i was like 1800 bucks for one... instead i put it towards a battery for my solar, so 45kwh in batteries now, so it backs up my whole home rofl, vs my network rack. my rack pulls 250watts, so plenty of power.
