@travis.woo.trades: I’m not convinced Bitcoin survives forever. Let’s talk about it. I’m interested in owning assets I can leave alone for the next 50 years. Never sell. Let them compound. Never generate taxes. And if I need cash, I can borrow against them instead of liquidating. That’s the framework. And within that framework, I’m not sure Bitcoin makes the cut. Now before people get emotional, I’ve studied Bitcoin deeply. I like Bitcoin. I understand the appeal. But if you ask me whether I’m comfortable holding it untouched for 50 years? I’m not sure. Here’s why. First, there are still major unknowns around future technology. Quantum computing is one example, but it’s bigger than that. The future is uncertain. Second, and more importantly for me, the economics are weird. Gold costs money to mine. But once gold exists, it doesn’t require some giant ongoing global network burning energy forever just to keep existing. Bitcoin does. It costs money to mine it, and it costs money to maintain the network. And eventually, when block rewards get small enough, the network has to rely more and more on transaction fees. That’s where I start asking hard questions. What exactly is paying for this long term? What is the irreplaceable thing we’re getting for the cost? And is the fee generation actually strong enough to support the system at global scale over decades? That’s not a simple question. Maybe Bitcoin survives and proves me wrong. Totally possible. But if I’m choosing something I want to hold for half a century with very high confidence, I need something I feel better about than “probably.” So I’m curious: what asset would you personally trust to hold for the next 50 to 100 years? #bitcoin #investing #wealth #finance #mindset

Precious metals need security. Real estate needs maintenance. Cash loses value. Stock market crashes. I’m curious what you think.

Most people think memecoins are just luck but the truth is, insiders move first, and the crowd reacts later. By the time a token is trending, early positions are already secured. Insiders study liquidity, timing, and narratives before hype hits the timeline. That’s why some wallets like mine consistently catch 10x–50x plays while others chase green candles. It’s not magic, it’s access, strategy, and discipline. If you understand how insiders operate, you stop gambling and start making up to 250 grands weekly

I think 50 years is a long time for ‘anything’ to buy and sit ! Property. gold and silver are the historic favourites.

I bought crypto in a retirement fund 2017. I have the fear of cybersecurity and scalability. I’m thinking of waiting for the next up. And then start taking some profits and letting some ride.

We use a lot of energy to refrigerate food to get a few more days leeway to eat it before it rots. I’d say the energy expenditure is worth it. Data centers are probably going to boil oceans and those are moving forward full-steam ahead. And then there’s the energy dedicated to BTC to secure a once-in-a-species invention that safeguards an entirely new decentralized world-wide financial network. I’m pretty sure about refrigeration and Bitcoin, I’m not so sure about data centers.

Eth is a better model with massive tangible potential for the financial industry. Also very low energy footprint due to pos system. The only problem is infinite supply but they have a decent burn mechanism

It's sound logical but I think that energy is becoming cheaper and cheaper and if they succeed to secure the finite amount of Bitcoins based on inflation and newly printed money slowly slowly it will keep and grow the price. I don't even consider the new Bitcoin. We have 20 million Bitcoin already. If it accepted by institutions it can be used as collateral for loans too. Otherwise a piece of land a small boat and few millions in indexes are enough for normal life. Japan South Korea Europe plus US indexes Once Russia is in peace and China is more free market some investments there too.
