Most of the lights were off, leaving only the small lamp beside the sofa illuminating the living room. The mansion felt unusually quiet. His brows furrowed. Usually, Jaeyun would already be waiting for him with a bright smile and a warm hug. But tonight, there was nothing. "Jaeyun?" he called. No answer. Concerned, Heeseung quickly headed upstairs and entered their bedroom. There, he found Jaeyun sitting on the bed with his knees pulled to his chest. His eyes were red, and he looked nervous. "Jae?" Heeseung sat beside him. "What's wrong?" Jaeyun lowered his head. "I'm sorry, Seungie." Heeseung frowned. "For what?" "I broke the vase. The one you recently bought." For a moment, Heeseung froze. That vase had been one of the rare pieces in his collection. "Jaeyun, that vase was valuable!" he yelled. "That was part of my collection!" The moment the words left his mouth, he regretted them. Jaeyun flinched. Tears immediately rolled down his cheeks. "I'm sorry," he sobbed. "I didn't mean to break it." Seeing him cry instantly crushed Heeseung's heart. "Jae..." Heeseung moved closer and gently wiped away his tears. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to yell at you." Jaeyun buried his face in his shoulder. "It was my fault." "No." Heeseung wrapped his arms around him. "It was an accident. The vase can be replaced." Jaeyun looked up. "Promise you're not mad?" "Promise." Slowly, Jaeyun relaxed in his arms. — Minutes later, Heeseung realized he had fallen asleep while hugging him. A small smile appeared on his lips. "Sleepyhead." Carefully, he laid Jaeyun down and covered him with a blanket before taking a quick shower. When he returned, Jaeyun was still asleep, his cheeks slightly puffy from crying. Heeseung climbed into bed and pulled him close. "I'm sorry for shouting at you," he whispered, pressing a kiss to his temple. Even in his sleep, Jaeyun snuggled closer.
