The new generics make me sleepy AND hungry. Also get a migraine that lasts all day and my jaw locks. It also doesn’t make me pee all day and crave nicotine (that’s how I know the old adderall was working)

Pharmacy tech of 20 years here. It’s not just you. I’ve heard this complaint so much. With all kinds of different meds and manufacturers. It’s all cheap crap now. If your insurance covers it, ask your doctor to write the prescription for brand only. It might be a little more expensive, but your meds will actually work.

I don’t take it on the weekends. I’m on extended release though, so may be different than instant. That’s been my best trick. I find that things I find joy in doing don’t need the push from my adderall— but things I don’t enjoy like work, seem less painful when on my adderall.

there's a whole community on Reddit about this, r/ThisAintAdderall. I first noticed my meds changed in March 2026 after being on them since October 2023. It's all adverse side effects with little actual function anymore
