🌹🔥This is an appellate lawyer, There isn't a new "defense Team" appellate lawyers and defense (trial) lawyers are entirely two different roles with different purposes. There will not be anyone called back to the stand. An appeal is not a new trial, and it does not re-weigh the facts. The appellate court only reviews the record of the original trial to determine if legal errors occurred that affected the outcome. No New Evidence is introduced. The attorneys cannot present new physical evidence or documents. No New Witnesses: No one takes the stand, and witnesses cannot be re-questioned, Period. The Focus is on Judicial Error. The court looks for mistakes made by the judge, such as admitting illegal evidence, giving incorrect jury instructions, or constitutional violations. An appeal is not resolved in days or weeks; it often takes 6-8 months, even years, because the court has to prepare the record, review briefs, and issue a decision.🔥🌹
