I support Valko. What disappoints me the most isn't just the cancellation of a single character—it's the message this decision sends to the community. Otome games are built on variety. Not every love interest is meant to appeal to every player, and that's exactly what makes the genre so special. Every character is designed for a different audience. When a love interest is removed simply because part of the community dislikes them, another group of players loses the very character they were most excited about. Many international players made it clear that Valko was the reason they wanted to start playing Love and Deepspace or return after taking a break. Yet many of us feel that our voices were barely considered. A global game should listen to its entire community, not create the impression that only one part of the player base has influence over major decisions like this. It's also important to remember how much work went into creating Valko. Artists, writers, animators, voice actors, and many other developers invested their time, creativity, and passion into bringing him to life. Seeing all of that work discarded before players even had the chance to experience it feels unfair—not only to the fans, but also to everyone who contributed to his development. No one is asking every player to like Valko. That's the whole point of having multiple love interests: everyone can choose the character they connect with. Players who weren't interested in Valko could simply have ignored him, just as they can with any other love interest. I sincerely hope the developers reconsider their decision and listen to the voices of the global community as well. Valko deserved the chance to be released. After that, players should have been free to decide for themselves whether they liked him or not.
