My husband works with families and one mom was SHOOK that our 3 year old only has the iPad for short periods of time on the weekends OR on long drives. Shes sooo creative and I don’t think she would be if she had more iPad time

Ive actually been called crazy for saying I wouldn’t buy my toddler an iPad. When I was pregnant with my first everyone was like “oh just wait you’ll be running to the store for one. She’s gonna drive you nuts.” She’ll be 4 this year, has a sister, AND a new baby on the way and I still haven’t been driven crazy enough to buy an iPad.

Here’s the thing, when I was younger, we had video games that we played together at sleep overs but we also had board games and toys. Parents would have us take breaks to do something else or play outside. Or even interact with them by helping make lunch or dinner! It’s quite literally the little things that make a difference
