When I was 13 I started my period and I was too scared to pee and ended up getting a uti. I went to the doctors and they had me pee in a cup and I didn’t have to go pee at that time. They told me if I didn’t I could have to get a catheter which scared me even more so I strained and finally peed in the cup. I also noticed a little turd in the cup and blood from my period and was EMBARRASSED. The nurse took my cup and said “oh wow we got all 3”😭

I didn’t know poppy seeds gave you a false positive for a drug test. I ate peanut butter toast with banana slices with loads of poppy seeds on top. I was so confused when they asked if I smoked. I didn’t know what weed was at the time and responded “I’m too young to buy cigarettes”. I guess they immediately realized how sheltered I was and asked if I ate poppy seeds recently 😂

I had to do a stool sample at home and bring it in once it was ready. I didn’t have a car at the time and had to uber to the diagnostic center with a bag of my poop. 🙃

I once had to send a stool sample in, it got lost in the mail and I received it back in my mailbox about 9 months later. (I was too scared to ask for a new poop kit so guess who still has undiagnosed bowel issues)

one time i had to pee in a cup the same time as another girl, she had been drinking water non stop the last two days and I had drank nothing. she filled the cup and it was like almost clear, I could barely get to the line and it was pretty dark😭 drink water guys

I took my bf to the ER one day and they asked him to do a urine test. And he came out of the bathroom, walked across the waiting room and handed the cup TO ME bc he didn’t know what to do with it 😭

I once had to pee in a cup after antibiotic treatment for my UTI and forgot to mention that I’m on my period. Doctor looked at me and straight up went „you might be dying right this moment. Kidney failure for sure.“ I’m shocked, I feel fine. I say „how come?“ he says „soooo much blood, it’s NOT normal.“ - „…I’m on my period.“ - „oh ok well then you’re good to go home!“ wow I went from check up to dying to perfectly fine

Once I had to do a 24 hours pee sample collection, meaning I had to save ALL my pee for a whole day, writing down every time I drank and every time I peed. They gave me a 2 l container and, not having a car at that time, I had to carry it in a purse on the bus 😭
