It IS unsafe. I say this as someone who was almost crowd crushed while trying to shield a guy in his wheelchair who was in the pit by barricade. I nearly passed out and had to tap out because it was nonstop trying to stop people from crowdsurfing into the guy or straight up crushing him. It ruined my entire experience. ADA spaces should be better of course and accommodations should be made but let's be fucking realistic please.

i feel like the only issue would be with crowd crushing, like being at barricade often meands being kind of pushed forward by the crowd. but i agree accessibility to venues needs a refresh

my mom bought tickets pretty close to a stage one time and the ADA accommodation for her wheelchair was literally higher up than the nosebleeds, like the highest furthest seats.

Last year, when I was at a Tom Odell concert, there was a wheelchair user. They were let in first and had a spot right in front of the stage and there was a big yellow square for them. I think this is amazing because wheelchair users definitely deserve some fun too. Good luck to you!

i think a wheelchair in barricade is not only just dangerous to the person in it but also the people around the wheelchair because of everyone pushing i also think it would risk damaging the wheelchair

I’m sorry I disagree with this take after having been beside a wheelchair user in a prior concert. ppl are always going to push others in the pit and it was extremely unsafe to be near the wheelchair user bc you’d get pushed into their chair which could potentially cause it to break or get hurt. it’s safer to be on a platform if offered but if not, ask for stage side possibly. That would probably be the least risky in terms of avoiding damages to your chair + worker visibility
