If a baby shower is in a restaurant then everyone usually chips in but if it’s at the house then the guests shouldn’t have to pay

Noooo way! I'm having a baby and can't think of anything more just... NO SIR, than rallying the troops to shower me with gifts... let alone PAY ME! It's on me to pay for our baby and I feel the same about other people's baby showers 😆

There’s been a gift list for almost every baby shower I’ve been to. Some Baby showers ive been expected to pay for food and some have been paid for - I’ve always celebrated everyone else’s babies and their weddings etc. in future even though I’d never *expect* gifts it would be strange not to return the celebration by at least attending? I’d be quite hurt if someone lied not to attend my baby shower, their presence should always be enough?

I really don’t agree with babyshowers, can’t help but see it as begging and I won’t be having one. If someone would like to give me a gift absolutely fine but it’s the pressure a baby shower brings plus the cringey games
