I agree with both sides. you have to find the balance. My parents did me shitty at times but as soon as I became a mother I realized there is no book on how to be a.parent. Everybody is doing the best they can with what they got. I forgave my parents and I hope everyone finds the peace to forgive their parents. 💯❤️

The best apology you can give anyone is accountability, changed behavior along with a sincere apology. It doesn’t erase the past or the hurt that still exist from the past. But IF it’s a relationship that you want to salvage and save… accountability and changed behavior is key and is a positive step forward. If it’s a relationship you don’t care to pursue or save then people have the right to just walk away too.

This is a tough one. The mom can't take back what she did. All she can do is apologize and do better. The daughter had the right to not accept her apology and move on or to forgive her and move on together. It's not an easy decision and unfortunately sometimes it can't work because there's too much hurt.
