Nobody tells you how hard £187 a week maternity pay actually is. You’re recovering from birth… running on broken sleep… looking after a newborn 24/7… And that £187 is supposed to cover real life. Bills. Food. Nappies. Everything. I remember sitting there doing the maths over and over again thinking… How are families actually making this work? So here are 5 things I’ve learned on maternity leave that I’ll 100% do differently next time: 1️⃣ I’ll build an extra income before baby arrives. Even an extra few hundred a month would have taken so much pressure off. 2️⃣ I won’t rely on one income and maternity pay. It leaves you with almost no breathing room financially. 3️⃣ I’ll have something flexible I can do from home. Something that works around nap times and evenings. 4️⃣ I’ll stop assuming making money online is complicated. Most of the things I’ve learned since becoming a mum are actually simple once someone shows you. 5️⃣ I’ll give myself options. Because the hardest part of maternity leave wasn’t just the money… It was feeling like I had no flexibility. Now I’ve found ways to earn from home that actually work around my baby. And what started out as hoping to make an extra £200 per month.. Has turned into more than my 9-5 ever paid me before 🥹 So next time I’m on maternity leave, I won’t feel that pressure of £187 per week again 🤍 If you’re curious to know more, comment or message me MUM and I’ll show you how I got started 💌 Don’t forget to be following me so I can message you 🫶🏻 #maternityleave #sahm #mumentrepreneur #mumlife #earnfromhome Disclaimer: these are my personal results. Sashimi is a popular go-to for many — clean, tasty, and protein-packed. But how do the macros actually compare? 🍣 Table data is for 100g of each fish serving! Here are 4 of the most common types you’ll find on a sashimi platter: • Salmon • Tuna • Yellowtail • Swordfish And for the fatty cuts: • Salmon Belly • Fatty Tuna (Chutoro/Otoro) Here’s the breakdown: ✅ Highest Protein: Lean Tuna followed by Yellowtail ✅ Highest Fat: Fatty Tuna (Otoro) & Salmon Belly ✅ Lowest Calories: Lean Tuna & Yellowtail Personally, I go for Salmon (for the omega-3s) and Yellowtail (for the protein). But it really depends on your goal: ➡️ Want a lower-calorie meal? Stick with lean tuna or yellowtail ➡️ Trying to bulk up or add calories? Go for salmon belly or chutoro/otoro At the end of the day, I like a balance — and usually just order what I enjoy most: salmon and yellowtail. #health #Fitness #healthy #healthylifestyle #wellness #nutrition #SelfCare #longevity #fitnessmotivation #workout #healthyfood #fitspo #bluezone #guthealth #MentalHealth #fitlife #gym #antiaging #healthyhabits #holistichealth #singapore #sg #igsg #sgtiktok #coffee #healthfood #sashimi #fish
