@emmakfaith: Today is day one of officially writing my cookbook, A cookbook inspired by teaching my son the recipes and life skills he needs before leaving home. Not because cooking is a girl’s job or a boy’s job—but because it’s a life skill everyone deserves to have. Let me know your thoughts on skills and recipes that should be added ❤️ #EasyRecipes #cookbook #motherandson #lifeskills #fyp
You should print it hand written - would look awesome as your notes - scribbles and all, just like mum wrote it for you!

a random thing to add possibly, all about cooking eggs! I remember moving out and having to call mum the way I should cook each egg! (Sounds crazy, but seriously, it’s the little things) 🥹

I STILL have to tell my husband about food safety and how long things are good left out for before it’s no longer safe. That meat that’s been thawed cannot be frozen again unless cooked. you can’t reheat a whole bowl of something, only eat half and go to put it in the fridge and reheat again later

Sharpening knives and how to tell when it's going dull. Seasoning - what pairs with what.

Substitutions - you did it in a Mac and cheese video saying “you don’t have x and it’s not worth going to get this for 1 thing so you like Y and let’s use that”

Most important things to have in your cupboard: what spices are common for recipes, what baking stuff like flour ect, what are the best tools to have for easy kitchen (like air fryer recipes). I never got taught anything, these basic things were a base for me :) Oh and a great steak! I’ve only just learned how to do a good steak 🤣🤦🏽♀️

I've started doing this for my kids with all their fave recipes. Was started in a book from my bonus daughter for Mother's day in 2023. Taped the letter and photo of the 3 kids in the front. Love this as a hand me down starter thru generations to come.
