Once you go to court the evidence is not squarely based on the person living on your land. They need proof from the neighbors, the local chiefs, land rates statements if its lease hold, proof that you told them to vacate in the past like police reports, even a simple letter to them to vacate your property especially through the local chief. As long as you've told them to vacate. Adverse possession is not as vague as you're explaining, the court still recognizes your right to ownership under article 40

What happens when you buy a land under succession dispute which was sold to you by a beneficiary of the deceased estates,the court rules in favour of the disputing member of the family? Does the court take care of innocent buyer? Can I claim extended rights courtesy of seller in the same property?
