Want to get a Thai driver's license? Here's how I did it in Chiang Mai in just over an hour! 🏍️🚦 First, head to the Department of Land Transportation (DLT). Most major cities have one. You'll need these documents: 📄 A doctor’s certificate 📄 A residency certificate 📄 (Optional) A certificate of completion from an accredited driving school. I brought this, which allowed me to skip exams at the DLT! Once inside the DLT: 1️⃣ In Chiang Mai, go to the first floor, Counter 27, and submit your documents. 2️⃣ They'll check your documents, test your vision and reflexes, and give you a ticket. 3️⃣ Wait for your ticket to be called, then pay 105฿ (for a motorcycle license). 4️⃣ Get your photo taken, and voilà — your license is ready in five minutes! 🔑 Pro tip: Arrive early to save time.
