@bellethelawyer: 🚨A tribunal found that a series of actions by the employer, culminating in a manager requiring an employee to drive overnight from Germany for a meeting he failed to attend, amounted to a fundamental breach of trust and confidence. The employee successfully claimed constructive dismissal and was awarded almost £150,000. https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/media/68ad993dbceafd8d0d96a189/1600573.2023_B_Littlewood_v_Nuffiled_Health_Written_Reasons.pdf #EmploymentLaw #Tribunal #ConstructiveDismissal #UKLaw #LegalNews
As always, Belle, thank you for sharing such an interesting case. As you rightly say, constructive UD cases are hard to win, especially when they rely on "last straw" arguments. The fact that Ms. Littleworth not just succeeded in her claim but received that level of compensation shows just how cavalier the respondent's behaviour must have been, in the ET's opinion.✌️

I'm glad she won some compensation, but the stress must have been awful. I hope she can move on, do what she loves and enjoy her success
