@coachmontessori: As adults, we sometimes confuse curiosity with distraction. You’re trying to get somewhere. Your child stops in front of an aquarium. And immediately we think: “Come on.” “Let’s go.” “Stop getting distracted.” But what if they’re not distracted? What if they’re doing exactly what children are supposed to do? Observing. Wondering. Exploring. The world is still new to them. They haven’t seen everything a hundred times like we have. Sometimes, what feels ordinary to us can be fascinating to a child. And often, if we give them a few minutes to observe, ask questions, and satisfy that curiosity, they’re ready to move on. Not every moment needs to be rushed. Sometimes, the most valuable learning happens when we slow down enough to see the world through their eyes. 💛 #montessori #childdevelopment #respectfulparenting #parentingtips #montessoriathome
