The show writers nerfed their most interesting and complex characters (team green) so bad cause they favored Rhaenyra but like they also ruined her character trying to make her the new Daenerys.

she was not. Season 1 Alicent was waaaay better than book alicent, the writing fell off after that, mostly cuz in the book she becomes irrelevant during the war and they didn't know what to do with uer

I like that season one lowered Alicent’s age and gave them a relationship though. Especially since it made Alicent not just a dimensionless ‘bad guy’. I wish most of season 1 establishing them as childhood friends remained the same, but leant more into them becoming and remaining enemies after the fall out. Then season 2 should have full had Alicent embody her bookself, calculating, conniving, openly hostile to Rhaenyra.

I do think expanding on her in the show was/wouldve been a good choice because she is lwk one dimensional in the books but they just done changed her up completely like god forbid we have female characters do bad things no instead we need to have whump toxic Alicent x Rhaenyra Yuri (and completely ignore Rhaenyra’s hinted at queer relationship)

I have one question, in what she is the best character? Yes I’am team black but that doesn’t matter, from what I remember she started the war then Rhaenyra takes kings landing and then she was chilling there, there Aegon became the king again and she was pushing him to kill a little boy that’s all
