alumiweld rods, first saw them at a flea market 50 years ago. they actually work really well when done properly, don't apply the flame directly to them. I've never had to use flux with them either.

Alumaloy and a wire bush to blend is the best. Will actually bind with the aluminum very well. Holds high side AC pressure also if done correctly so I know it’s a decent bond

I wish I’d done this! I did JB weld and then epoxy to entire bottom. I’m hoping this will last 🙌🏻
