@sellanythingonline: Riddle: how many business owners will it take for Australia Post to change its behaviour? Answer at the end. @Paddington Pantry made this video and I’m so glad more and more business owners are putting their frustrations online because Aus Post is not a fair business and it operates in a greedy way. I have done petitions, spoken about it in the media, been loud on socials and literally nothing changes. So the answer to the riddle is: lol it won’t. #auspost #australiapost #SmallBusiness #businesscosts #shippingcost
Aus post actually tells the customers to contact the sender to get a refund/replacement. They don’t even admit they are liable to pay up to $100 for lost parcels!!

lol 😂 I emailed them about their delivery, I said why am I paying for a delivery when it doesn’t even come to my house! At least refund it if I’m having to pay to pick it up.

May not be relevant to this, however adds to how useless Australia post is. The amount of times I’ve had parcels say “driver attempted delivery” when I was home all day is absolutely insane. I had one incident recently where the driver didn’t deliver my parcel because there were stairs leading up to reception… that’s right, he didn’t want to walk up a set of stairs.

I sent something via express post and it took 7 days.
they're telling me that it's not in the express post list of suburbs but I don't understand why it's still took a week.

God forbid you even dispute it! We are changing to couriers please too! There is two online places you can put in formal complaints for shipping that’s not through Australia post

That’s one thing I really miss about the UK. Postage was way cheaper and everything turned up within a day or two. Here you pay about $18 postage for something small and it takes a fortnight 💀

Oh my God, this is fascinating that it’s reached my page because I sent a small box of items to a customer and I went to a different Australia post and I usually go and he said to me this fits in the satchel. I’m gonna put it in the satchel fill out the address details it’s going to work out cheaper and I said, but why how he said he just does I don’t understand. Why is it cheaper to send with their satchels like it’s literally costing me more to use my own satchel or my own box that makes zero sense is it because of the where the address boxes is in the barcode or something like can someone enlighten me because I haven’t had my morning coffee yet, so maybe I’m missing something.😂

I’ve lived in some fairly remote parts of Oz. Honestly Auspost is still way better then any of the courier brands

as a customer the auspost experience is far better than other carriers. I have decided to not buy with a company if they use a random carrier

There were times I’d go to Aus Post, get my package weighed and quoted, step aside and tell the person how much shipping would be, then I’d line back up and get the package weighed again and the price was always different!

The post system is so messed up. I ordered an item and paid express post and it took over a week to come. Ordered something from Japan on a Friday and it arrived the Monday.

We’ve used AusPost for our online shipping for the last 3 years, and it’s been the best service I’ve ever used by far. We’ve had very minimal issues and almost never get underpay issues. The only time we have received them, were due to massive underpaying. We’ve used many other shipping services in the past that were all so bad, slow, huge loss rate, poor comms, clunky tech. The trick is to ensure your Shopify is cleanly integrated with AusPost.

they are increasing their prices on July 1st for international and domestic packages; again. And they can get away with it cause they are the biggest and one of the only options for a lot of small buisness owners.

They also don’t care about sustainability in the slightest when you can easily buy your own recyclable or compostable packaging but then they go and charge you double their satchels that are hard to recycle.

Auspost sucks. I have experience before where I’m the one selling, it didn’t reach the buyer. So crazy. The stress and ruins the trust of the buyer.
