@universalitv: Please look for advice from people on the comments of the last video. There are lots of really good tips there!! Be mindful about who is impacted by this heat too, not everyone is built the same!! Be careful this week. I doubt this will be the last heatwave of the year :/ #ukheatwave #heatwave #chronicillness #autism #coolingtips
Advice from south Spain: open the windows first thing in the morning when you still have fresh air for about one hour and then close everything up, make your home dark and don’t go outside. I hope you can all cope

is partially covered better than not at all? I have very big windows in my lounge and cant cover them entirely but wondering if it's worth at least covering some

Thank you thank you thank you for all of this! It’s going to reach 34 where I am in Denmark on Saturday and I’ve been very worried how I’m going to keep my place cool. I really struggle in the summer with sensory overload from the heat so I’ll try this out🫶

opening the loft hatch does work if you have one. the hottest air will rise if you keep your internal doors open. its impossible for hot air to spill down because of the pressure and density difference. - sincerely, an architect.

I’m going to dig my radiator backing foil up and put it outside on the window. I have a huge window at the front that means this room bakes when it’s hot

For the high humidity, do you think a dehumidifier would help? I'm in a new build doing everything, but nothing is working

I hang a white (wet bed sheet) over the outside of my windows. I’m still be able to close my window and the sun doesn’t heat the window. Looks a bit rough but works

Thermal curtains are specifically designed and marketed to reduce heat transfer and improve insulation. However, I have thermal curtains in my bedroom and I can personally feel a difference in temperature. They help reduce the amount of heat coming through the window and make the room feel more comfortable during hot weather.

Fold a square face flannel into a triangle. Soak in cold water. Wring out. Tie around your neck. Cools you down and keeps you cool.

My kitchen is south facing in a top floor flat, with a skylight window. After following your tips on reflective foil and pinning blankets, it's made the temperature much more tolerable ❤️

pop a pan of water in the freezer , take it out at night sprinkle salt on it and pop it Infront of a fan when you go to bed , make sure to put it in a dish so your floor doesn't get wet . fill a hot water bottle with cold water and pop in the fridge an just grab it before going to bed an then put between legs for a quick cool down 🫶 hope this helps .an if you have multiple fans one pointing out of a window and one circulating the air in the room you want to cool down an obviously do this after sun down for best results

great advice for the house !! for the body something that’s been working surprisingly well for me is a bandana with ice cubes wrapped up around my neck, begins cooling and when it’s just wet that’s still really cooling!

There is another thing. I have a dog. Even if I cover the windows the lower parts of the house are really hot. I needed cover them with carton and reduce the temperature as well

I stuck one of those bubble wrap looking car shields on the thin rectangle window of my house because it gets the most direct sunlight in the morning. I think It’s alright for mid 20s, but considering Thursday is going to push into 30s and 40s…I’m debating on if that’s the right thing to do. 🤔
