If you’re new here, I started Team Virtual after realising I didn’t want to keep living in the same cycle of working, saving, travelling, running out of money and starting all over again. I used to work full-time in Admin & Finance in Dublin, with a commute that took hours every day and very little interest in the job once I actually arrived. In 2018, I left and went backpacking. I got a taste of what life could feel like when everything wasn’t built around work, annual leave and waiting for the next escape. The only problem was, once the money ran out, I had to go straight back to Dublin and start the same cycle again. That’s where Adam came in ✨ We met in 2018 and quickly realised we wanted the same thing: to travel full-time. But we needed a way to fund it.. So in 2020, we started Team Virtual. We took the skills we already had from previous jobs, turned them into VA services and started offering them to online business owners who needed support. We had no perfect plan, and we made plenty of mistakes at the start. But within 2 months, we were fully booked with clients and for the first time, working and travelling full-time actually felt possible 🌎 That experience eventually led me to creating The VA Academy in 2022, because I knew there were so many women with skills, ambition and work ethic who wanted more flexibility, income and choice, but had no idea where to start. Since then, I’ve coached hundreds of women to build their own Virtual Assistant businesses and create a life that looks different to the one they thought they had to settle for. Looking back, it’s wild to think we went from just wanting to cover the cost of travelling South-East Asia to building a multi six-figure business from a laptop, a phone, skills we already had and a serious work ethic 🌟 I’m sharing this because most people don’t realise how much they can build from the skills they already have.
